Agreement to Terms

Welcome to MeroSewak! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MeroSewak mobile application, website, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using MeroSewak, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By creating an account or using MeroSewak, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• All information you provide is accurate and current
• You have read and understood our Privacy Policy

If you are using MeroSewak on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Platform Use & License

License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, MeroSewak grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Permitted Uses

• Browse and compare candidate profiles and information
• Express support or concerns about candidates through likes/dislikes
• Engage in community discussions and share posts
• Access voting education resources
• Share content through integrated social media features
• Submit candidate information through our official forms

Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any local, state, national, or international law
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of MeroSewak or others
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect or harvest user information without consent
• Use the Platform to spam, harass, or abuse others

User Accounts & Responsibilities

Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to update it as necessary.

Account Security

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to the Platform or other users.

User-Generated Content

MeroSewak allows users to post content, including text, images, videos, and comments. By posting content, you grant MeroSewak a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Platform.

Prohibited Content

You may not post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
• Contains hate speech, discrimination, or incites violence
• Is sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic
• Violates intellectual property rights
• Contains false or misleading information (misinformation/disinformation)
• Harasses, bullies, or intimidates others
• Invades privacy or shares personal information without consent
• Is spam, promotional content, or commercial advertising
• Impersonates candidates, officials, or other users
• Attempts to manipulate voting or elections

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any content that violates these Terms or our community standards. We may also report illegal content to appropriate authorities.

Intellectual Property Rights

MeroSewak's Property

The Platform, including its design, features, graphics, logos, text, and software, is owned by MeroSewak and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Trademarks

"MeroSewak" and our logo are trademarks of MeroSewak Pvt. Ltd. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

Third-Party Content

Candidate information, photos, and manifestos may be owned by the respective candidates or their parties. We display this information under fair use for educational and informational purposes.

Information Accuracy

• Candidate information is sourced from public records and submissions
• We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated information
• Users should verify important information through official sources
• Community posts reflect individual user opinions, not MeroSewak's views

No Political Endorsement

MeroSewak is a neutral platform that does not endorse, support, or oppose any political candidate, party, or ideology. The inclusion of any candidate on our Platform does not constitute an endorsement.

AS-IS Disclaimer

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation
• Freedom from viruses or harmful components

This includes but is not limited to damages resulting from:

• Use or inability to use the Platform
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Statements or conduct of any third party on the Platform
• Reliance on information obtained through the Platform
• Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in content
• Interruptions or cessation of service

Our total liability for all claims shall not exceed NPR 10,000 (Ten Thousand Nepali Rupees) or the amount you paid to MeroSewak in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MeroSewak, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Content you post or submit on the Platform
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of MeroSewak is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources. These links are provided for your convenience only. MeroSewak has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

You acknowledge and agree that MeroSewak shall not be liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of any third-party content, goods, or services available through such websites or resources.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the app settings or contacting us at support@merosewak.com

By MeroSewak

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Breach of these Terms
• Violation of applicable laws
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Behavior harmful to other users or the Platform
• Extended period of inactivity

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. We may delete your account and content, though some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@merosewak.com

If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may initiate formal proceedings. You agree that any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Patan, Bagmati Province, Nepal, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
